Grand Rapids based post-hardcore rockers La Dispute emerged in 2004, releasing their debut EP Vancouver two years later. They have released a total of four studio albums over the course of their career, including Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair (2008), Wildlife (2011), Rooms of the House (2014), and Panorama (2019). La Dispute is known for constantly evolving their sound and musical style. The group started out with a metalcore/punk based sound, branching out over the years to incorporate a wide breath of musical influences and experimenting with genres such as jazz and prog rock. Theses shifts in direction are most prominent on the several EPs and singles they have released between albums.
